Stealth Air carbon construction
The Crafty R pairs a Stealth Air carbon fibre front triangle with an aluminium rear triangle. The frame incorporates internal cable routing, a removable internal battery and a one-piece Monoblock upper link.
Bosch Performance Line CX
The redesigned Bosch CX motor uses two mounting points and is smaller and 100g lighter than its predecessor. Updated electronics improve power delivery and control, while reducing noise and drag above 25km/h.
Bosch Performance Upgrade 2.0
The page describes an update available from May 2026 for fifth-generation Bosch CX and CX-R motors. It allows maximum torque to increase from 100 Nm to 120 Nm and maximum pedal assistance from 400% to up to 600%.
Removable batteries and lower system weight
The Crafty R comes with an 800Wh Bosch battery, with a compatible 600Wh alternative interchangeable through a quick-lock system. Higher-energy-density 21700 cells and updated motor electronics improve efficiency. The motor and 800Wh battery together save 500g compared with the previous Crafty system using a 750Wh battery.
PowerMore range extension
Every Crafty Carbon frame size accepts the Bosch PowerMore 250Wh range extender. It attaches to the main bottle mount on the downtube and weighs around 1.5kg.
Updated Zero Suspension System
Revised suspension kinematics improve small-bump sensitivity, shock absorption and top-out behaviour. The system also improves climbing grip across different terrain, with 150mm of rear travel on the Crafty R.
Forward Geometry and flip-chip adjustment
Five sizes include an ML option, with 455mm chainstays on S, M and ML frames and 465mm chainstays on L and XL frames to maintain consistent handling. A two-position flip chip at the lower shock mount adjusts bottom bracket height and the seat and head tube angles. The standard 64.5° head angle is one degree slacker than the previous generation for greater stability at speed.
