Stealth Air Carbon construction
The Crafty R pairs a Stealth Air Carbon front triangle with an aluminium rear triangle. Five frame sizes and two size-dependent chainstay lengths help maintain a consistent ride feel across the range.
Bosch Performance Line CX
The redesigned Bosch CX uses a smaller, two-point mounting layout and weighs 100g less than the previous version. Updated electronics improve power delivery and control, while reducing motor noise and eliminating downhill mechanical rattles. Pedalling drag above 25km/h is also reduced.
Bosch Performance Upgrade 2.0
The page states that the update available from May 2026 allows fifth-generation Bosch CX and CX-R motors to increase maximum torque from 100 Nm to 120 Nm. Maximum pedal assistance can also increase from 400% to up to 600%.
Removable battery and reduced system weight
The Crafty R comes with an 800Wh Bosch battery, removable through a quick-lock system and interchangeable with the compatible 600Wh version. Higher-density 21700 cells and updated motor electronics improve efficiency. The motor and 800Wh battery combination saves 500g compared with the previous Crafty system using a 750Wh battery.
PowerMore range extender compatibility
Every Crafty Carbon frame size accepts the 250Wh Bosch PowerMore range extender. It attaches to the main bottle mount on the down tube and weighs around 1.5kg, allowing it to be carried on the bike or in a backpack.
Updated Zero Suspension System
Revised suspension kinematics improve small-bump sensitivity, shock absorption and top-out behaviour. The updated system also increases climbing grip across different terrain types.
Forward Geometry and flip-chip adjustment
A 64.5° standard head angle is one degree slacker than the previous generation for greater stability at speed. A two-position flip chip at the lower shock mount adjusts bottom bracket height and seat and head tube angles. Sizes S, M and ML use 455mm chainstays, while L and XL use 465mm chainstays to preserve consistent handling.
