Refined lever control

A more pronounced lever hook helps keep your finger secure during aggressive riding, while revised dimples improve comfort and grip in all weather. The new cam reduces free lever travel while retaining feel and modulation through the braking zone. A roller-bearing main pivot and two piston guide bushes keep the action smooth and straight.

Gravity-focused braking power

The one-piece GR4 caliper is designed for a strong stiffness-to-weight ratio. Larger pistons increase the brake's ratio for more power, while improved caliper stiffness also enhances lever feel. The four-piston design is aimed at demanding gravity and e-bike riding.

Improved fit and clearance

A wider adjustment range improves compatibility with third-party hub and frame combinations. Redesigned bore caps reduce the caliper's overall width, making it easier to accommodate within frames. The GR4 is not compatible with vented rotors.

Simpler bleeding

A bleed port in the master cylinder body allows the brake to be bled without removing the reservoir lid. Hope provides EVO bleeding instructions and a video walkthrough to support servicing.
