Carbon rims for road and cyclocross
The RD40 combines a 40mm-deep carbon clincher rim with a strong monocoque, unidirectional carbon fibre construction. Its 19mm internal width is designed to suit larger-volume road and cyclocross tyres, and the rim is tubeless compatible.
Pro 5 straight pull hubs
Pro 5 straight pull 24-hole hubs are paired with black Sapim CX-Ray straight pull spokes. The rear hub uses a reduced-drag ratchet mechanism, while Centrelock fitment accommodates compatible disc rotors.
Hand-built and adaptable
Each wheel is built by hand from start to finish in Barnoldswick. Standard and Boost options are offered, with Shimano, SRAM or Campag freehub bodies. Separately available conversion kits allow the wheels to be adapted to different frame and fork fittings.
Tubeless accessories included
Hope supplies tubeless valves and tape at no extra cost. The included 24mm tape, valves and wipe provide accessories for a tubeless setup.
