Lighter action, increased pressure
New internal seals reduce friction, while a roller-bearing lever pivot allows a lower spring rate. This creates a lighter lever action to reduce rider fatigue while retaining Hope’s feel and modulation. The Tech 4 delivers a 30% pressure increase compared with the Tech 3.
Hybrid V4 piston technology
The rigid, CNC-machined one-piece V4 caliper uses stainless steel pistons with phenolic inserts. This hybrid design promotes smoother movement and reduces maintenance, while managing heat transfer during extreme use.
Adjustable lever ergonomics
The revised lever shape is designed for improved ergonomics and mechanical advantage when braking. A hinged clamp reduces weight, while the larger reservoir area lowers overall stack height. Bite point and reach can both be adjusted without tools.
More flexible shifter integration
Updated shifter integration provides neater packaging and compatibility with a wider range of current shifters. It offers 30° of angular adjustment, plus lateral adjustment on both sides of the master cylinder to help tailor lever positioning.
Finish and hose choices
The brake is available in black or silver with a choice of coloured accents. Buyers can choose a standard black hose or pay extra for a braided hose. All Tech 4 brakes are supplied with racing compound pads.
